The morning began with the happy greetings from his aerial friends. It has become an unsaid norm, he would dutifully place water and food for them before beginning his day. After a heavy breakfast, he started the work alongwith his father Mrinal.Mrinal is a vet by profession and bird watcher by passion played a pivotal role in the plan.Turning the idea into physical reality is easier said than done.The whole weekend, the duo spent in putting together the wooden pieces left from the construction of their new home giving shape to the new abode.It took multiple cuts, bruises,heated conversations, long hours of hardwork and numerous trip to the neighborhood to turn into a decent piece.

Finally, the moment arrived the Sunday dusk greeted the cozy little home of Rex and Lin linned with thick bed of dry grass.Papon was very apprehensive initially.How the his little winged friends would react? Would they reject his efforts? But after some nudging from his father and encouraging words from his mom, he carefully transferred the much recovered Lin to the abode and the robust Rex followed soon after. The birdies started surveying the new interiors peacefully which soon gave away to loud chirps of approval. Papon could hardly control his happiness making their way through his eyes, a beautiful satisfaction was writ all over his innocent face.
But he understood it’s just the beginning.
